On Thursday 5 March, we welcomed a group of 50 status holders and civic integration teachers to Pentas Moulding. In collaboration with Stichting Culture Kitchen, we organised a visit to our company. The visit focused on exploration and orientation, with the aim of giving participants a better understanding of the employment opportunities within Pentas and supporting them in taking their first steps towards integration into the Dutch labour market.

Rotational moulding is known as an advanced manufacturing process in which plastic powder is placed inside a mould. This mould is heated while rotating around two perpendicular axes. Due to this unique rotation, the plastic powder melts and evenly coats the inside of the mould. This results in a hollow product with a lot of design freedom regarding shapes and throughputs, something that is often difficult to achieve with other methods.

Budde, a renowned design agency specializing in transport design, industrial design, and consumer products, visited us to deepen their expertise in rotational molding and gain insight into our processes.

At the beginning of this year, we at Pentas made a technological leap by integrating the Handyscan 3D Max into our operational processes, achieved with the expert support of EMS Benelux. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with Pentas and the world of the Dutch manufacturing industry. Nacer, a status holder who works at Pentas, shared his personal experiences and his career path within the company. His story provided a positive and inspiring picture of the opportunities to grow and find a place within the organisation.

The programme started with a short introduction to Pentas and the different activities within the company. This was followed by a tour of the factory, where participants were given a look into the production process and introduced to various roles within the company. They also gained a clear impression of the company culture and the way people collaborate within Pentas.

With this visit, we hope that the participants gained a better understanding of the opportunities the Dutch manufacturing industry can offer.
