Pentas presents at ARM-CE

On Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 November, the annual congress of the Association of Rotational Moulding Central Europe (ARM-CE) took place. This year, Marthijn and Sadegh traveled on behalf of Pentas to Belgium, where the event was held in Hasselt. During this two-day congress, various companies and knowledge partners gave presentations on developments within the rotomoulding industry. Sadegh and Marthijn also presented the progress Pentas is currently making in robotising post-processing.
Table of contents
Robotic post-processing
At the congress, Sadegh and Marthijn shared the latest steps Pentas has taken in robotic post-processing. Their presentation showed how we continue to automate and standardise our production processes to enhance quality, reliability, and speed.
A key highlight was the introduction of our new finishing cell. This cell is built around the latest ABB robotic arm and was fully designed and developed in-house to meet all our automation requirements. The finishing cell features automatic tool change, RFID recognition for moulds, laser measurement for precise positioning, and full integration with our production database. This allows us to track every step of the post-processing in real time and instantly record quality data.
Visit to Plastigi
In addition to various presentations, a company visit was organised on Tuesday 25 November to fellow rotomoulder Plastigi. At Plastigi, they use an innovative method of Rotationsguss. Instead of traditional ovens, they apply electric heating directly within the moulds, which are mounted on robotic arms. Heat is therefore generated within the mould itself, making the process more efficient and energy-saving.
Plastigi, thank you for showing us your production process!
We look back on a successful and inspiring congress and thank all attendees and organisers for the valuable conversations and insights. At Pentas, we remain committed to collaboration and knowledge sharing, so that together we can continue taking new steps in technological innovation.
