Clients appreciate in-house mould construction
We are one of few rotational moulding specialists who also specialise in mould construction. As a result, we can guarantee the highest quality and flexibility. Furthermore, clients appreciate the fact that their new developments stay under one roof.
We make several moulds a week. It starts with a design in which we take into account mould parts, heat management, the method of clamping and shrinkage. We then use CAM software to make a milling programme. We make all the moulds from solid aluminium with CNC-controlled milling machines. This is a lot of work, but we do it because it ultimately gives the best product. The geometry of the mould can be formed very accurately, just like the shape and surface, and changes in the design are easy to implement.
Milling, welding and the finishing touch
The CNC milling machines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The milling of mould parts can sometimes take weeks. Once this is all done, it is assembled by our crew in the mould construction department. The mould is provided with centring pins and a frame is built around it, with which the mould can later be attached to the machine. As a finishing touch, the inside of the mould is polished and sandblasted to give the product a beautiful surface.
Quality assurance
Also after the mould is finished, the mould construction comes in handy. During the rotational moulding production process, we continuously check the quality. And should there be a deviation of the product compared to the drawing or wear on the mould, then we can quickly remedy the situation without affecting the delivery time.
